It is estimated that 3-4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year in U.S. shelters. That is about 1 animal every 8 seconds!

The Ark Animal Rescue is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization that exists for this very reason. We want to do our part to save innocent animals, promote adoption, and educate.

We primarily rescue from high-kill shelters throughout southern California. T.A.A.R. does not have a facility. Each animal we rescue is placed in foster care until forever homes are found.
